Memorial Day 2023

Jamie FarquharYouth Ministry Blog

Today is Memorial Day. As we celebrate, let’s make sure to also take time to stop, remember, and reflect in gratitude on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we get to enjoy every day (like freely getting to share God’s life changing love and freedom with one another and all we meet!).

Also make time to pray for, and be part of, God’s continued comfort and peace for the families these courageous and loving souls left behind, and if you know, or are, a family with a loved one who gave their life willingly, please pray for them by name and check in with them, tell them thank you, and see how they are doing. We all are called to be a supportive community in Christ’s loving likeness who truly cares for, supports, mourns with, and encourages one another, because the truth is we all need God and one another to journey through this life in the most freeing, loving, encouraging, and hope filled way possible (Romans 12:9-16).

Please also send us those families’ names so we can all be praying for them, and you, as well.

“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13
