Mother’s Day 2023

Jamie FarquharYouth Ministry Blog

Mothers -whether biological, adoptive, or anyone who goes above and beyond to spiritually/emotionally pour into and mentor others- play such an important role in our lives. For this reason it is so vital and such an honor to celebrate them today and every day, because our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, friends, and many other women have, in such a huge way, helped grow and mold us into the people we are today.

Personally take time today to remember, reflect on, and say thank you to any women you can for the kind and selfless way they’ve shown Jesus’ life changing love to you and the world and lovingly made your home and/or life better by shining the love of Christ in to it!

After such a hard year of so much loss and heartache on top of many complicated feelings people may already have about Mother’s day, please also take time to pray for those who are hurting or feeling overwhelmed. Reach out to someone you know who is struggling today and pray with them, encourage them, share a fond memory or laugh, or ask if you can do anything to make their day brighter (Romans 12:15). Show them God’s loving light and be a blessing to them today in honor of all the women who have shown His kindness and empathy to you (John 13:34&35).

Happy Mother’s Day, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the women who have poured into all of our lives in the 1335 Student Ministry:)
